Swedish Study Challenges Traditional Blood Pressure Treatments
Beta-blockers, commonly used to treat high blood pressure, fall short on their promise, according to Swedish researchers. Their analysis of 13 studies of over 100,000 patients revealed that these drugs are neither more effective at reducing blood pressure nor better at preventing strokes than other drugs.
